About	A layer of cirrus had been thickening throughout the afternoon and a dramatic sunset wasn't looking hopeful. I drove the length of the West coast looking for inspiration and settled for L'Ancresse. Had there been some interesting clouds, there would have been a wealth of possibilities but I needed to find a composition containing minimal sky. As it happened, the high-level cloud was just thin enough to let some light and colour through and being muted, made my exposure less difficult. The tide drops fast in Guernsey and I had to position the camera out in the water, anticipating a picture to emerge from the depths as it receded.

Well done! This is a great landscape, and it wasn't the sky which attracted my attention but rather the pattern of rocks and the Sun. It shows that You select Your locations with a lot of thought. Your picture has very good dynamics in leading the beholder's eye around the scene
