Minimalism? What minimalism, Gustavo? This is an overkill of gloria again! It's a very very strong and synthetic image, and its contrasts are hard and powerful, and it gives me the impression of standing in front of all fanfares of glory of some shining civilisation and its amazingly powerful architectural achievements. But it is definitely not minimalistic. This is something you almost never do. (Only sometimes you do that too!)
The image has immense power! It really presses me down to my place as if I were only a microbe, a nobody that dares raise his eyes for a moment to the bombastic something that you seem to be in search of. And so it *is* great, since the mist important thing is the direct implementation of the vision that you have. This is a complete success of such a bombastic vision, undoubtfully. The amount of strongly enhanced details overjumps any possible measure. A big fat 7 for that!
I don't like your bombastic style and epic digital photographic attitudes at all, as I must have the impression that you can't be touched by anything subtle. But this is irrelevant. It is only relevant that you *have* your style, and that you work for further perfection of it. Go for it!

:-), no dije que esta fuera minimalista, "minimalismo luminoso" es por la foto anterior, por "the drop", una broma que me hago mi mismo además definiéndome por la enfermedad como un "esquizofrénico controlado", una broma te reitero. ¿Qué puede tener de loco este racional ingeniero y responsable padre de familia?..., bueno, un poquito tal vez...:-).
Este trabajo sin dudas no es minimalista.
Te agradezco mucho tu comentario, y me alegra que la imagen te haya impactado, efectivamente es parte de mi estilo, nunca simple. Siempre mis trabajos son como menos, complejos desde el punto de vista de las ideas. Siempre pongo otras cosas entre líneas, siempre me gusta representar más que mostrar, metáforas, símbolos...:-)
No buscaba que fuera glorioso, buscaba que fuera un poco oscuro y opresivo, buscaba el punto de vista de los personajes de Kafka, (del agrimensor K en "El castillo" por ejemplo), pequeños y miserables frente a la enormidad infinita del Poder, Dios, o El Universo... La verdad no lo logré todo lo oscuro que hubiera querido...pero bueno, para detalles más sutiles tengo que trabajar más!...
Pero no me pongo ansioso, tiempo al tiempo, solo tengo un par de horas por día para estas cosas y las ideas que maduran de a poco, como los buenos vinos, maduran mejor...

Te cuento, tenía demasiadas simetrías, por una cuestión de luces la iglesia tiene un flip horizontal superpuesto, solo la estatua de la virgen quedo fuera de esta simetría vertical, También el fondo de nubes, para romper esa simetría es que puse algunas nubes mas pequeñas arriba a la derecha, y los pájaros a la izquierda, por esto te digo que los consideré necesarios para la composición. Por otra parte quería ponerle una nota dramática, un símbolo de peligros o infortunios por llegar...ja...ja...un toque "dark" , y en ese sentido siempre me gustan los pájaros negros... bueno, gusto y locuras mías...:-)

Of course I will take time for your work, Gustavo! I can't only say "wow, great" and send you a smile! That would be just trivializing your work down to "neat images"! And that would be totally unfair from me, considering the amount of work that it takes to produce such images, even if they are not my case of image.
The translator eat up the word luminocity! It gave me only "minimalism", but not "minimal light". Gustavo, we must talk with the programmers of the automatic translators! Don't forget taking some heavy hammer! ;-)
OK, now I understand! And indeed the light is minimal in some sense, but I am also astonished to see that it is at the same time maximal in some other sense. It's much like spotlights directed onto some building in the deepest night. Much like a presentation of majesty which says: "Look!"
And inasmuch I think also that I udnerstand why I am standing in front of that like a microbe - Kafka! Yes, that's it! I must think now of "Das Schloß"! We had to read the book for writing a classwork when I was learing German, and I'll never forget that.
And that's why I speak about "bombastic glory" which I think I view with the inability to understand any bit of it at all. Be it as somebody "in the picture" as a manifestation of similar situations in reality, or as well as somebody that looks at the picture and the methodology of it. It seems to me that all that "power" is hollow! There is no reason for it to be, other than for being. It's like being "afraid" of something, that doesn't really exist out of some reason. In front of something that you could as well turn your back to, any just leave it there without further consideration. Then all that power disappears, which is a hint towards the fact that it doesn't exist per se! It exists only if you *make* it exist. And that again reminds me of Sartre. God is dead when I there is no human mind to tell me different. ;-)
About the universe, that's something else. It's mysterious and insane, but it doesn't come up with that wish to be glorified! ;-) As we know, a usable theory for the universe has to be insane! (Was that Bohr?) So, the universe is my friend since I am insane enough too! ;-)
Perhaps also the best civil engineers, the best fathers, the best people at all, are indeed completely and utterly insane!

Sin dudas las traducciones nos juegan en contra a la hora de entendernos, pero bueno, así y todo el diálogo es siempre interesante y enriquecedor.
Por mi parte me anote en un curso de ingles este año, espero mejorar un mi pobre conocimiento sobre el idioma del norte...:-)

Pero mi querido amigo, sería un tonto si no tuviera en cuenta tus consejos y observaciones!, por las cuales, además, estoy realmente muy contento y agradecido, y sin dudas son un honor para mí.
Sobre el elemento humano, lo que sucede es que fotografiar personas no es fácil, más allá de los retratos simples de tus hijos o algún familiar, lleva más tiempo, contar con actores, puestas en escena, en fin... Yo acá, no solo tengo poco tiempo sino que además las posibilidades son muy pocas, porque es muy reducida la actividad cultural por el lado del teatro o el baile y la danza. De todas formas Julia va a danza a un centro cultural, voy a ver que puedo hacer en ese escenario...:-), y debería acercarme a la actividad de teatro y ver que me permiten hacer...:-), sin embargo, yo en mis imágenes siempre pongo algún elemento humano, no por el lado concreto de las personas, pero si por el lado abstracto de las ideas... Estoy de acuerdo sin intensidad emotiva, sobre eso no hay dudas y entiendo tu punto de vista cuando decís, "elemento humano"...:-)
Tuve una semana de mucho trabajo y estoy algo perdido pero ya regreso!

Hola Noemi, qué alegría leerte!, y me alegra mucho que te guste!, puse tres pájaros porque el tres es un número muy místico, recordá eso de que "tres es Dios y es uno", por ejemplo...:-) pero la finalidad estética era romper la simetría y eso se logra con uno o tres, de todas formas están en una capa aparte por lo cual puedo hacer todas la versiones, tendré en cuenta tu observación para cuando lo exponga en una futura muestra aquí en Viedma!...:-)
