About This is an attempt to try and expand on Cathy’s question about my use of saturation to remove the colour from an image so that it appears as a B&W image. This is with a saturation of -20 from the original. Below is the original image and then the edited version at -100 saturation.

Again, great details here in the fur, and the partial desaturation does add interest to the image, Ed!

This is a truly beautiful treatment of this animal's expression. The desaturation highlights the emotion. I like the slight hint of green.

Thank you for your comment Dave.

All I did was shift the saturation slightly, it was just fortunate that the colour stayed in both the foliage and the baboon's eyes.

All the best,
Ed

Thank you for your comment Cathy.

As I mentioned to Dave, I was lucky in where the colour remained when I desaturated it.

All the best,
Ed
