Nice capture Brigitte, reminded me of my years in Romana, Ca. I had 20 acres of Manzanita and oaks. I miss some of the beauty of that rugged country, which just happen to burn last year. Keep it up, great photos in you portfolio, nice variety. Stan :) :) LOL

Lovely colours and lines on these stems Brigitte. The highly reflective surface gave some trouble in the highlights but you have controlled them well (another fstop darker would take care of those blown patches). Nice portfolio! Kind regards.

Hi Stan.... where is Romana? I've heard of Ramona, CA but not the other, I even tried googling for it and didn't find anything... a typo perhaps? Anyways, it sounds like you had some beautiful property... too bad about the fire, but it will all grow back in time thanks to the incredible works of Mother Nature! Hi Joggie... thank you so much for your visit and for the nice comments and the tip! I will take that into consideration next time - I seem to come across that situation quite often. I know that the darker areas will lose detail if I underexpose a bit, but that can be regained somewhat in post-processing, unlike overexposed areas. Take care... Brigitte

Brigitte, my fingers were bad,meant Ramona Ca, typing is not a strong point in my computer skills. It was north of San Diego about an hour. the sign coming into town said Welcome to Ramona, Valley of the sun. Many hot and dry days there. When they put in a four way light at the main intersection I moved to Montana and have not looked back. Thanks for your reply and keep on shooting, you have a good eye. Stan
