I've said this before and I'll say it again: Ducks, while a common subject, are a lot harder to photograph well than people might think.
This shot is superb in every way. The timing is perfect for a fresh view of this subject displaying all the colors and details not usually seen, composition within the frame is good, exposure & focus dead-on perfect for a sharp image of very high quality. The tech details state "Automatic Camera," but it makes me wonder if the 'automatic camera' might have been something like a 1DS Mk II with an L-series on it, set to "P" ;)

Spectacular capture! I agree with Steve... This is a tremendous skill as well as an art. To get such great detail and focus on something moving as quickly as most waterfowl is truly a skill. Very well done!
