Hi Marian,If you’re planning a trip to Amsterdam nex jear and you like to party, then make sure you’re there for April 30th because that’s the biggest party of them all. Queens Day. Or, Koninginnedag (pronounced Ko-ning-in-ne-dach). Queens Day is the Dutch answer to Carnival, and particularly so in the nations capital. For a full day and night the streets flood with people happy and wild and…orange in celebrating the Queens birthday. Orange because it’s the national colour,Kus&Groetjes,riny

I know, I know dearest Riny, I was there in 2002 with my son and I had a great time walking around the streets full of things to buy :) but I was in Rotterdam. I love Hololand, my cousin and best man and godfather to my son lives in Rotterdam and I have visited your beautiful country tree times and of course I have walked in the streets of Amsterdam too!!!!
