About I wanted a bit more dramatic light and shadow here, but I don't know if I succeeded doing that. Any comments would be very welcome.

Very nice capture of the lighting and shadows, Nick! I like the way the light is caught on the edges of the branches.

hey Nick,

firstly, this is a fascinating fraction of the composition- deviding the elements not just clearly, but superb expression of their beauty- and secondly, and which is the imperativ of this shot, i think is the timing (for obvious reasons) which has made possible this composition.
the highlight on the branches of tree is sheer beauty.

to sum it up, i'd say this is a great observation of play of highlight and shadow and an excellent PoV.

great great,

cheers,
v.

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Dave!

The light on the edges of the branches was surely a main reason for making me try to get this one.

Thanks a lot once again for the detailed comment, Visar! Indeed the time of the day was good for that light but I had also much luck here. The haze over the darker mountain at the background played very nicely with the highlights on the branches.

The only problem with that time of the day is... O have to wake up so early! ;-)

Cheers!
