About I found this dandelion growing in some rocks on a hike with my grandson on Sat. We tried too capture it in the wild, before it went to the next stage and blew away.

I felt the absence of a little contrast.

Stan  Hill   {K:9638} 5/5/2008
Thanks Sounak, I did not use any post process, maybe I should have. Thank you for the suggestion. Stan I tried some extra contrast, is this better?

with some post process

Thank you Mustafa, I am here to learn and all comments are always welcome. It was fun to try and capture a very common flower in a new way for me. Life is good, Stan

A dlightful weed. Extremely colourful.

Sounak Mukhopadhyay   {K:2363} 5/5/2008
You must have seen the clear difference. Now it's far more beautiful.

Stan  Hill   {K:9638} 5/6/2008
Sounak, when I shot the image I saw that the flower was primarily yellow with no real difference in color. I went in to PS and darkened the image and raised the contrast to about 40% more than the initial shot. Thanks for encouragement. Just did not realize the difference it would make. Have a great day,Stan

Thanks Danny, we have had a long winter in Montana and was desperate enough to shoot the first blooming thing I came across. It really stood out in the cradle of rocks that it was growing in. Be well, Stan

I also like the beauty in thoses flowers. I never realized the detail till I took a picture of one the other day.

Stan  Hill   {K:9638} 5/7/2008
Michael, great shot. Your detail and DOF look great. I will keep practicing to get it down a little better. Thanks for sharing, Stan

Michael  Rippey   {K:110} 5/7/2008
Thank you. Im new to this what is DOF?

Stan  Hill   {K:9638} 5/8/2008
DOF as I have been told is depth of field. With your flower in front of the background the flower jumps out of green. I have alot to learn myself brother, you do not need the words when you are making good pictures, looked at the frog today, nice job. Later Stan.
