Excellent shot, provocative model, there is a touch of Helmut Newton spice. I think.

Paul Lara   {K:78573} 5/7/2008
Hehe. I'm flattered you think there's an homage to Helmut here, Mirek. ;)

what a cutie pie!!!!!!!! If u don't mind, this is my interpretation of the image... To me it needs more color, less highlights and more green... what do u think?

Paul Lara   {K:78573} 6/5/2008
Of course I don't mind. Especially when you're right, Pat.

What do you mean 'less highlights' ...on the sidewalk? Yeah, that does compete.

While I was on vacation in Denver, I scheduled 3 models to shoot at the loft, and Degs was just on it.

I had gone to the grocery store and passed the row of flowering trees. Next day, when Degs walked in the room, I asked her to put on something bright, and I drove us 4 blocks over.

Yeah, greener grass, for sure.

nnot just the green grass. look at her shirt. Not overexposed but without detail. the flowers and her skin needed more color as well and the blown highlights on the street have been toned down.
Remember, cameras have only ONE exposure value. Our eyes see things in total balance. That's why there is no such thing as the perfect exposed picture. It just can't be done, even with a Hasselblad or any hi-end camera. That is why I have Photoshop, layers and knowledge of all the tricks... Put the 2 pictures side by side and u will really see the difference.

Yeah, I agree on the facial saturation, but her shirt looks funky now.
