Thanks, Mark.
I wanted to use that great red wall in the loft, but this staircase was such a confined corner and I was in too close for missiles, so I had to switch to guns, grabbing my 10-20mm. ;)

This loft experience was an inspiration for me.
I think I'm going to try to befriend as many wealthy people as I can find just to use their places for my fashion photography.

Absolutely great fashion shot, the makeup is awesome.

Leora Long   {K:9989} 5/14/2008
Dear Paul, this is a very engaging young woman and I love the red wall. I agree that wide angle lenses can save the day. And many art directors are using stretching techniques to fill out their layouts.

But beware of an angle that makes one part of the body out of proportion to the rest like the young lady's foot and makes a thin girl appear even thinner. A bit of an arch to the back can do a lot for a girl's confidence. There are lots of things that can be done on stairs to show a positve attitude.

I hope these observations are helpful. It is great to see how many different things you try.

Your friend, Leora

Thank you for that thoughtful and very helpful critique, Leora. I am thick-skinned, so please feel free to tell me what you think would make my shots stronger - that's why I'm HERE. ;)

Leora Long   {K:9989} 5/14/2008
Dear friend, I regret I should have said first and foremost that the the overall design and mood are excellent, before commenting on the distortion.

It is so close to perfect that I felt compelled to mention the problem I saw.

Since you are agreeable to suggestions I will risk becoming annoying. I recommend that you pay closer attention to the hands, one of the most difficult areas to fix later. The hand looks overly large, coming toward the camera, and I hate to say it, it is very squared off because of tucked-under fingers. The hand can always be rolled over a bit to slim it down or dropped down to the side, but fingers should never be missing.

Congratulations on a very compelling photo, Leora

Your additional critique is on-target and not at all annoying, since you are correct. Thanks.
