Hallo Nicki,The zoo in Emmen has a beautifull butterfly garden. In a colourfull tropical garden with many flowering plants you can walk between the many colourfull butterflies. Sometimes a butterfly will come and sit down on your hand It's a relaxing place to sit down for a while...een hele fijne dag,kus..

Hallo John,As beautiful as they are fragile, butterflies are one of my favorite subjects to shoot –and one of the most difficult to get close to in the wild. I’m often asked how I get so close to them and here is what I’ve learned.
Shoot them when they are distracted.
Like all insects, butterflies are more likely to stay put if they are occupied. Go looking for them early in the morning when they are trying to dry out from the previous night’s dew and feeding. In the heat of the day they are very active and less likely to let you get close,have a nice dear friend,riny

I agree Riny... I believe there must be more that 100.000 different types of butterflies... and there always are many we never have seen before... and the most of the times it's a difficult subject too...they are lol...very angry when something big goes closed to them and fly fast away...
