kekeke yeah Tim I guess its a pretty stable part of the country .. otherwise the villagers would have been eliminated from the gene pool thousands of years ago.. I tell you what tho its a pretty cool little village.. very sweet.. good food nice people.. the houses are called trulli's and we stayed overnight in one.. twas cool fun

I have to wonder what the supporting structure is below the stones or are they just self supporting as in a Igloo

no they are rendered underneath but the construction is all dry stone technique no trussing or whatever inthe roofs hence they are all pretty small and lots of small spaces, joined together

this is an interior ceiling shot..
