wonderful composition John.. :) the other plane at the right is making me curious, I like your light there in Crete...;)  I remember one of my first comments to your photo of the castle and it's lighting.. It's the same here. But i like the concept here, really looks alerting to see two plane in different direction at almost same level.. The silhouette and the clouds all add to the drama of this composition..

the closer has the right angle to the airport...
of course the lighting isn't right as I underexpose the shot pretty strongly to get the clouds...

Το λιμάνι βρίσκετε πολύ κοντά στο αεροδρόμιο (κυριολεκτικά το αεροδρόμιο Ν. Καζαντζάκης είναι... μέσα στην πόλη) οπότε οι κάτοικοι του ανατολικού Ηρακλείου και ειδικά του Δ. Νέα Αλικαρνασσού τραβούν μεγάλο ζόρι με τα αεροπλάνα κυριολεκτικά να ‘ξύνουν’ τα κεφάλια τους...
Δεν είναι δύσκολο να βγάλεις φωτογραφίες με πολλά αεροπλάνα ταυτόχρονα στο κάδρο... 2, 3, 4 ή και 5 άμα λάχει... το καλοκαίρι γίνεται χαμός, πάνε και έρχονται λες και είναι μύγες!
