| About |
Last weekend I revisited the Griffith Park Observatory for the first time after it's renovation. It was closed for over 5 years and millions of dollars were spend renovating the facility. The Griffith Park Observatory has been featured in many Hollywood movies including "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Terminator". It has a spectacular views of Hollywood and a unique architecture. Just after it reopened last year it came very close to burning down from a wildfire that came a few hundred feet of the facility.
I arrived in the late afternoon and got some nice warm tones of the setting sun. The haze/smog made the city view a little hard to get good shots of but made for a pretty common but beautiful sunset. Many of the sunsets and night shots in my portfolio have the Griffith Park Observatory in my shots as my home faces west directly to the Observatory. Later in this series I will post some night shots of downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood.
