About Now that my jeans had dried from my earlier excursion, where i ended up hip deep in water due to a miss step. I figured I would give a sunset shot a try.

Nice shot! Isn't that Pyramid Mountain?

Tim  Schumm   {K:26875} 5/16/2008
No it is not pyramid.....this peak is on the way to Banff. I have a topographic map for the areas that i am not familiar with. I have been mountaineering in this area for 30 years and am pretty well acquainted with it. thanks for asking.
cheers, Tim

That's why it looked so familiar! I love the Rockies.... here's one I took between Lake Louise and Jasper!

Lake Peyto

Everything is PERFECT in this shot. I can even see the moon clearly !!!

Tim  Schumm   {K:26875} 5/17/2008
yeah, it was so small, it was touch and go whether to clone it out or not....Most photographers would make it bigger....lol..

Kes     {K:18221} 5/17/2008
Another eye popper, Tim!

Been thinking about getting a 12/24 again...can't really justify it though...you sure work magic with yours! :)

Tim  Schumm   {K:26875} 5/17/2008
Might want to look at the Sigma 10-20mm for way less $$$...it is a good lens.

Great shot Tim....as all your mountain shots are...and yes I would also recommend the Sugma lens....excellent value for money....how you doing with the 300?

Manu

Tim  Schumm   {K:26875} 6/8/2008
Hi Manu,

Thanks for your comment. AS to the D300 it is much more of a camera then my previous bodies, with far more variables and setting to deal with to garner a reasonable image. It has been a much longer learning curve to achieve what I want as a image because of this. A lot of experimentation has to happen to see how the camera will act. Anyway if you don't mind fooling with it for a while it does help create some amazing images.
