This is a very good dramatic portrait. The expression of the lady is great. Her posture too.
However, there are some negative points that result from your attempt to isolate her from the surrounding area( see your photo "5 minute break").First, the isolation and the subsequent severe cropping affected the quality of the photo. It also seems to me that you overdid it with the sharpening. Secondly, the isolation removed your subject from her environment which is vital for us to see in order to relate to what is going on.
My suggestion for this type of dramatic close-up portraits is to move much closely to the subject and certainly avoiding severe cropping and over-processing in the P/S.
Finally, i would say that the original photo is superior to this cropped attempt.
Best regards
A

By the way the sepia conversion is quite good.

ery nice character indeed. Nice tones also. But perhaps I would have cut the bottom part of the pic to give more importance to her face and eyes. A square format would have been great in my opinion!

This portrait is wonderful , because of the eyes of this lady, and the way sHE is looking. I would suggest either to take a closeup shot or a wider with surrondings.
Tme sepia mode is great.
