Amazing Lighting.. by the way, how did you get so close to the owl?? these are rather shy creatures!!

Thanks for your comment Kiran,
I was not as close as it may look to you as the image was cropped from landscape to portrait, this one has his burrow close to a path and a road so he is some what use to people around.

Do you have quite a few of these guys around? They are certainly common east of here, but not within easy shooting distance.

Thanks for your comment Kerry. There are not as many of these guys as there use to be but the ones that are around are shy but still let you get close especially if you can stay in your vehicle.
