The round circles are irrigated farm land. A center pivot sprinkler is used. There is a large bar that carries sprinkler heads that spray the area with water. This bar is supported by a series of wheels placed along the bar. The bar is slowly rotated around the center point from which the water is picked up for the sprinklers. The speed of rotation can be sped up or slowed down and determins how much water is delivered to the field.
