very nice pictures, i like the choice of B&W film on these architectural shots as it brings the definitions of lines. would have loved to have the background mountains a bit more defined though and a shame there were no clouds when you shot it. still great job!

You just put a smile on my face Cernan! In fact the sky was covered with a very low lying cloud layer, and the low part of that layer was dissolving gradually toward the ground. Engelberg lies at about 1000m over the surface of the see, and so it really is in the clouds sometimes. We see here the mountain in the depth right behind those dissolving parts of the clouds.
Of course I can "see" that on the image simply because I was there, but it seems that this isn't visible to a more detached spectator, which is a very interesting and useful thing to know. I guess that it is so just because the clouds were so compact and without much texture for being immediately recognized on a B&W image.

I am very glad if the images bring to you something worth looking at, Dave! Those older houses around here are indeed quite photogenic especially in smaller villages. I think about a series of them now.

I think it is exactly the heavy loaded sky that makes up for much of the atmosphere here, Gustavo! Thanks a lot for the nice comment again!
