great use of DOF .... I think it might be a little more interesting composition wise if the 2 elements in the image were more on a diagonal rather then evenly horizontal

You're right Tim, there were various technical limitations because the flower barely rises 10 cms from the ground and I'm a follower of non-destructive floral photography ;-) I will take your advise for future sessions.
