About Some Flox that used to grow in someones garden 70 years ago. The house is only a foundation now, but there are still some signs of cultivation nearby.

House used to be less than 50 yards from the shores of Lake Ontario. Near the mouth of Lynde Creek Ontario.

I like the colours and your composition here, Andre!
Dave.

Another good one in rich tones and very nice contours in the region of your DoF, Andre! The composition does bring a special view avoiding overload!

It could be interesting to get the flowers and some remainders of the house, perhaps as a background.

Cheers!

Nick.

Thanks Dave,
I thought the background worked pretty well on this shot.

Thanks Nick.
That's a good idea. But, there was not a lot left of the foundation except a ground level outline. Also, the flowers seem to have scattered all over the place away from what might have been their original garden. I can picture exactly what you mean though.
Andre

What a pity, Andre! Flowers spread near or even right on the remainders of old walls can look so great! Anyway, it's already nice the way it is.

Cheers!

Nick

P.S.: And perhaps you could take some stones and build a small wall behild it ;-) Photographers seem to be multi-professionals! ;-)

Preciosos ramilletes de exquisitas flores!
Una delicia de foto!
Felicitaciones!!

I think it might be easier to photoshop a wall in than to build one. :)

Thanks Alicia,
I'm glad you like it!

OK, another PS filter candidate then: Background "wallisation" ;-)

Cheers!

Nick

P.S.: My proposal for a dialog window of the filter. ;-)

The new PS-filter: Background wallisation!

very nice capture, great colors and DOF, a real nice work.

Hi Nick,
An excellent idea Nick! Maybe you could sell the idea to Adobe for the next version of Photoshop?
Maybe we could add sliding adjusters for Young - Middle-age - Old. Or, Repulsive - Average - Beautiful. The possibilities are endless.
Andre

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 6/29/2008
Thanks Jacques,
Glad you like it!

Great! The filter's interface starts getting shape! ;-)

But even better than selling it to Adobe, I could also launch it separately as an add-on together with a dozen of other gadgets! And the strange thing will be that I earn money from the very same filters and effects against which I use my usual polemic so often! ;-)

But be sure that I'll honour your input about the sliding adjusters adequately, Andre! If only 5% of the millions of photoshopographers buys the filerts, then we are already millionairs! ;-)

What was I talking against PS-filters and effects? Noooo, use them, use them!!!! ;-)

Cheers!

Nick

I will be expecting my royalty checques in the mail soon then. :)

Excellent regulation of the formalities, Andre! Now that the company is running there remains no economical hindrance for me to visit my CEO in Canada! I am sure that our profit completely covers the costs of my ticket with NCBA (Never Come Back Airlines! ;-))

Cheers!
