A lovely floral macro, with wonderful use of backlighting to bring out the translucent quality of the petals... Beautiful soft tone and wonderful DOF, allowing the background to softly mimic those soothing colors. Really exquisite, Diana. Outstanding work.

Hi Diana :) love these soft beautiful blues, caught my eye right away, and the background colors accent it perfectly, very well done!! you had asked if I was aware of Rembrandt. anwser is YES!!! :) when I worked in a studio, learning the different types of portrait lighting, Rembrandt was my fav, bar none, it had so much depth and mood, that I used it whenever I could, as I did on my sons photo you mentioned, very observent of you to notice something like that :) it says up above that you paint also, would love to see some of your work if possable, you perhaps have a web page? you can email me at m.a.moar@nebi.com and thank you for the nice message :) P.S. my fav thing about your flower pic above is seeing the detail in each of the pedels, fantastic!!

Today I went back in your portfolio.
Here I see a favourie for me !
The backlight is wonderfully falling through the leaves and paints all the colors, some of them perhaps hidden in direct light, on the white.
The two seem to be in a fairy tale world.
The background colors enhance this impression beautifully
with a wide range of turquoise tones.
You created a perfect composition with the diagonal structure.
