well I blured a little a backgroud, dodge a foliage in background, burn a leaves on her dress..and render a ligh on right side..that's it..no secret..

well it is important that every time when you open a photo in PS first you must duplicate a layer..and than you play with it..and the things that you want to be as a original you clean with eraser tool..when you are satisfy go to layer and flatten image...also you can go to filter- render-lightning effect and add all kinds of lights..

Despite that i enjoy a lot to play on PS, i can spend hours there in my little laboratory, doing this, doing that, i dont use layers, its true this is wrong, but its pure lazyness. I tried this filter you mentioned, and i like this a lot.
I have been tryng to make photos of forests, look like yours, but...i must be using some arcaic version of PS :)
