About Almost at the end of this section of the Great Wall of China. It starts with lots of people, almost pushing each other; at the end there is one every minute reaching the top. :-)

A view that for me is very special, hard to believe that The Wall was made by humans in the middle of a mountain range. Overwhelmingly beautiful and powerful.

Enjoy!

Good one. But I would prefer something else other than the centralized composition.
Cheers,
Ani

Thanks very much my friend for liking it and understanding the limitations of taking a picture with half your body sticking out of a 30 metres wall.

:-)

Cheers!

Thanks dear Ania, I thought that adding my wife's head sticking out would break the silent, almost monotonous view. I was just trying to get a sight that I cannot find in a book, postcard or travel brochure; and that, the human element, is what cannot be replicated to achieve a higher level of emotion. Another thing that I really liked about this shot is that her hair is the only thing that naturally, and softly flows down, in contrast to the monumental stones that have been there for hundreds of years.

Thanks a lot for your wonderful insights.

cmok!

Thanks dear Ruxa, I agree with you, I already burned the forest and background quite a bit, it seems that it wasn't enough :-)

Thanks for pointing that out.

Cheers!

Perhaps you should work a little bit more by the grey tones...Also a red filter?
Greetings
Ruxa

Francisco N-G   {K:27117} 6/27/2008
I used an orange filter at 10% density. True I could have worked more also on the mid-tones.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

kiss!

F.
