| About |
The former Baltimore Trust Company Building (now Bank of America Building) at left and the William Donald Schaefer Tower at right are separated by a wide street, but they seem to be right on top of each other in this view.
The older building, a 1924 Art Deco design with Gothic touches, was Baltimore's first skyscraper. The newer building, completed in 1992, is named for William Donald Schaefer, mayor of Baltimore from 1971-1986 and governor of Maryland from 1987-1995.
Baltimore, unfortunately, has a dearth of good architecture, but I think that both of these buildings are exceptions.
