Insecten zijn bij menig modern mens niet erg geliefd. Vlinders en soms ook libellen kunnen nog wel een potje breken, maar de rest is gewoonlijk lastig overbodig of gevaarlijk. En in ieder geval griezelig. Zelfs rupsen, zonder wie vlinders niet zouden bestaan, ontkomen niet aan onze emotionele afkeer. Toch verdienen insecten een veel positievere waardering. Daar zijn niet alleen menselijke argumenten voor aan te voeren als schoonheid, interessante levensloop of direkt nut. Insecten spelen daar hun verscheidenheid en aantal immers ook een zeer belangrijke rol in het biologische evenwicht. Alleen al als voedselbron waar veel vogels zijn ze onmisbaar,ben met sunset man mee eens..fijn weekend peter,riny
