That happens to me soooo many times,clipped feathers!
Shooting like this is a nightmare,I uses the focus point one down from center or back off from filling the frame giving the bird more space but at a loss image size.With Ospreys I normally shoot in the sun at -.7 ev to control the whites from been blown out.
