orkuted :-)

Stan  Hill   {K:12822} 7/8/2008
Like the herringbone, one of my favorite patterns. The colors really add to the shapes. I like the composition with the couple and water in the distance. Well done.
Be well, Stan

Anne Knes   {K:48615} 7/8/2008
Excellent.

Nah bhalo laglo na. Karon chokh jachhe na subject porjonto. Your usual magic is missing here.

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55401} 7/8/2008
Oh I love this perspective and pattern drawing me into the romantic scenery- well done:-)

Anindya Maity   {K:6451} 7/8/2008
Good use of the pattern and perspective.Would it have been better ot place the figs off-center ?

Kiarang Alaei   {K:49080} 7/8/2008
Your special compositions:
bravo!

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:96941} 7/8/2008
The controlled exaggeration of perspective is strong here. Very strong! The shapes of the floor combine all together for generating a texture, the pattern of which then makes the distance so visible and real. You surely grasped the luck of the moment to have those two exactly at the point where they had to sit for adding much interest to the image by making the "target point".

Only one question: What about leaving the trees out? Does it tighten the integrity of composition, or does it steal to much space?

Cheers!

Nick

Great perspective. Photo of quality for me.
Congratulations.
Mr G.

strong compo as always, you have an amazing eye for that;
however i find some problems with this picture: it seems you tried an hyperfocal DOF, however DOF is a bit strange: there is gradient from foreground to the couple but suddendly the focus/sharpness increase again, I can not understand why; the blue womans T-shirt disturbs me (perhapas this would be better in BW); and finally a small mit is that the border od the lake is a bit tilted to the right
I'd try a new version in a very potentially good image
take care my good man
jd

Julie Salles   {K:18604} 7/8/2008
Excellent point of view Avi. I would have liked to see the couple off center and perhaps in black and white?

Srna Stankovic   {K:112304} 7/8/2008
Wonderful perspective leading to so romantic scene, effective composition Avi, great ... but it will maybe look much better in BW, hope you do not mind, just my view !!!
And I do prefer color !!! But so many shots looks much better in B/W ....
Cheers and a hug,
Srna

Debarshi Duttagupta   {K:25865} 7/8/2008
fantastic composition !!!!

Alain Mijngheer   {K:11261} 7/8/2008
Another wow image Avi. And this for various reasons which I will not sum up.............I do have a life you know LOL
Keep it up my friend!

Alain

Francisco N-G   {K:27117} 7/8/2008
Excellent view dear Avi. It's so nice to see the complex perspective almost converging at the couple; the colours are nicely saturated and the f/22 helps to achieve an infinite DoF.

Great job my friend!

Cheers!

F.

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
I thought about it Nick, but it did seem to tighten it a bit more than was comfortable for me..

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
Yes, very good call. Even I don't know why it happened.. (still wondering) .. one explanation given by another friend was maybe with a tripod I could have avoided it.. but as you know, I don't use tripod..

But thanks for pointing out the tilt on the lake border.. and yes, I have to try it in b/w too :)

cheers !!

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
off center, no.. [sorry, I came out of thirds quite a while ago :) ] .. b/w, yes.. I will try it.. thanks !! :)

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
yes, I will definitely try in b/w .. thanks Srna !!

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
thanks.. and sorry if I missed a chord here.. you can write to me anytime .. my email id is there in my profile.

best always,
Avi

Julie Salles   {K:18604} 7/8/2008
Nothing to do with thirds, don't care about rules myself just a personal opinion ;)

Alain Mijngheer   {K:11261} 7/8/2008
Hey Avi,
I meant that this image is so good in my eyes I could write a full page about it, but that I don't have the time :)
That's all

fotogr@vi     {K:52594} 7/8/2008
ohh ok.. I got scared a bit :) .. but hey, you COULD mail me anytime.. just like that.. if you wish :) [ I am a very talkative person who can talk about a variety of subjects without apparently boring you...lol !!!]

cheers !!
Avi

Great!! What a beautiful photographic imagination you have.
Cheers.

Giuseppe

Peter De Rycke   {K:39357} 7/9/2008
Really a great picture .. for me the convergence in the stone patterns work very strong towards the couple, we are forced to go look for them .. next the colour contrast is an extra, but even without that, one would follow the stone patterns to go to the horizon .. great work !!

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:96941} 7/10/2008
Indeed it went too tight, Avi! The geometry itself may be purer but the image gets less expressive then.

A good example for realizing that the already existing "theory" should be taken less absolutely when the image says so.

Cheers!

Nick
