About I wrote this poem last year, for my friends at piptalk.com, the poetry site of wich I am a member.
I just wanted to share it with my friends here too, because it doesn't matter what nationality one has, when we mourn our dead.

Very good words of wisdom.

Titia, this is wonderful. So thoughtful of you. I was just finishing high school when the war was over. I remember so much about our rationing and the war effort over here, but it must have been terrible in your country during those years.
Thank you so much for the verse about my picture of the old house.
If you ever do get to this country we would be more than happy to show you around this area. We have lived most of our lives in the middle of the United States and we do not always appreciated the beauty of our countryside. Don.
