WOOOOOW!! Now this image is one that 'Pops' out - it has a special peaceful quality to it - the warm tones help but the reflections from that glowing sunset are truely a great capture of the momment as You saw it -

Yes I see a LOT of potential with you photography abilities.
You have a fantastic eye.
The main problem with posting to the web is; EVERYONE'S computer is different. Images do not look the same from one computer to the next.
Here is what I try and do.
First thing I did was obtain a program that you can use to work-flow your images. Second thing that I did(and STILL do) is Ask for my friends give me tutorial on how to properly work-flow an image.
So if you have images that you would like to have work-flowed and be given a tutorial on how its done and more importantly WHY its done, Please feel free to ask me. MY EMAIL ADDRESS is sam@samgraziano.com
Send me a image explain the way the shot looked, I then will build a tutorial and show you step by step HOW to properly work-flow a photograph.
Michele, remember...I don't always get it right....because photography is so subjective.
That is the MAIN reason why I still post to photography sites. To build my love for this craft and grow my abilities.

I have two main issues with this shot. I don't like to see the bare sun in a shot. The camera can't handle the bright light and clipping occurs with no data recorded on and near the sun, you see pure white. I wait until the sun dips below the horizon or a cloud. Often this is when the sky really lights up anyway and your get some magnificent colours. Second the composition, you have placed the horizon very close to the middle of the image. A horizon which is at or near the lower or upper third points of the image is much more interesting and pleasing to the eye.
