Aloha AJ,

You have a 'Featured Critique' today - July 24th, 2008 - on the Front Page of this Site, so a very sincere Congratulations and this is how I came across this very fine portrait of a male peacock of yours with absolute exemplary detail and color.

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

P.S. Your name has been most humbly mentioned in every 'Dedication List' of my current 'Floral Series' because of your condolence visit on my image titled "LAST GLANCE" concerning my cat 'Lucky'. Thank you so much for your heartfelt comment ...

Featured Critique? Hm, missed that cos my internet connection has been down for the last few days. Was it perhaps an old one that was being recycled?

Anyway, many thanks for your visit and comment. Much appreciated.

The head is very crisp and detailed. The upper neck is a bit flat it seems. 7/7

AJ Miller   {K:45262} 7/28/2008
Oh yes, the upper neck does look a little flat, Harry. Hadn't noticed that. It's flat on the original too, which I find a little surprising given that this was not a super-closeup. And if the image becomes increasingly soft away from the centred eye towards the bottom of the image, why does it not become increasingly soft away from the eye toward the left also?

with its colours and shapes and quality, it takes the breath away...

John Hatz   {K:144528} 8/4/2008
Excellent shot... impressive, I could say that you was very closed to the bird and get a...macro on it but after that I read about the lens that...is a tele... nice power blue against the soft green.
be well!!!
