Your focus on the geese is right on - impressive. I like how you have thrown the background out of focus - with the sharp focus on the geese, it almost looks three dimensional. Nice work.

It is a 300mm f/4L IS USM Canon lens. That is why they are $1100. They have a nice Bokah, but the DOF is shallow because of the f/4. That helps the effect and sharp on the geese.
