Very nice DOF and related composition.

This one drew my attention right away from its thumb, Ben! The timing was good, the opportunity was good, and how you captured that was even better. The separation of the foreground with the boy and the background with the man on the bicycle gets enhanced by the fact that the boy is looking right into the camera while the man seems to not have realized yet that he is going to be on the image. So, it's like having two different words and of course all their similarities and differences in the image.
The light on the boy is terrific. It adds something special on the little guy and in makes his face expression looking unique, somewhere between curiously watching you and wondering what is going to happen next. The highlights on the grass around him add the final touch.
Only the upper left corner, that highlight on the house after the shadows, seems to be a small problem to me. Not a big deal for such a good image, though.
