Nice presentation. Tender and soft.

Derek Dixon   {K:4948} 5/28/2003
Very nice picture! Vivid colors, great composition

Derek Kennedy   {K:2270} 5/28/2003
What I like about this photo, is the DoF, the lighting (allows some texture there), and the background how it is a similar colour.

Ferrell McCollough   {K:577} 5/28/2003
John, I love the curves, the touching, the fading into the depths of the lower tip. Very nice mood created here. Well done.

Ingrid Mathews   {K:7277} 5/28/2003
Caught my eye right away for its symmetry and beautiful inflections. Great job!

Beverly Gustafson   {K:3058} 5/28/2003
Wonderful flowing lines. The monochromatic color scheme really makes this eye catching. Beautifully done.

andrew vonbank   {K:2811} 5/28/2003
Soft beauty, exquisite composition. Sublime.

Mary Sue Hayward   {K:17525} 5/29/2003
This is fabulous...the tone on tone works well, and the primary subject is separated from the background nicely. Derek is right about how the lighting provides texture.

I love the framing, but it is the simplicity that makes this image rock!

José Eduardo Cruz   {K:13180} 5/29/2003
Excellent!!!

Now this works. Man, this is great! It's like it's embossed. One of the best works I've seen from you yet and that's saying alot.

Wonderful !
I have something similar but yours is better :-(

I've looked at this one quite a bit, and always get so mesmerized by it that I forget to leave a comment. Ferns are so hard to shoot well, I think -- but they are always there tempting us ;)

I really love the mono-color here, with the textures and shapes taking center stage. This is one to be proud of.

John Barclay   {K:3650} 6/21/2003
Thanks Jeannie! It has become one of my favorites too. Just printed it last night for a coming gallery show.

Edward Thomas   {K:286} 7/6/2003
Great lines, detail and colours.
