This image gives me vertigo! Nicely done. My only suggestion might be to close in some of the open space on the left side of the image.

I didn't understand the use of lenses (semifisheye etc.)

a semifisheye is a cheap way to get a fisheye (180degrees view)
is just a adaptor you screw in front of the lens... it doesn't give a full 180 and you lose a bit of image quality, but, as I said 'is a cheap way'
