Another view of the far side of the Xiang Zi Bridge, and the architecture built on the old city wall of Chaozhou.
Those boats you see form part of the pontoon portion of the bridge. When there's no river traffic, several of these boat-pontoons join the two sides of the bridge together (the gap is about 75m). When there's river traffic passing through, the pontoons are withdrawn, as you can see here.
