About Now this is something you don't see every day at Buckroe Beach, VA.

I was toodling around Hampton today, as I often do, on the chance that I might catch a fire. I pulled into the turn around circle at Buckroe Beach and what do I see! Surf!

It was nasty but it was worth it.

Keep in mind that is on the west cost of the Chesapeake Bay. Buckroe Beach is probably the only place that will get this kind of surf.

This was during a Nor'easter in late Oct.

Good capture and like his expression of concentration.

Nice capture and stop action. Where I grew up this would not really be called surfs up. However considering the local this looks acceptable for playtime. I like the action of the water behind the surfer and the splash in the air. Makes a great sports shot.
Be well, an old surfer from the 60's, Stan

Stan, thanks for the comment. I am an old surfer too. I still have a 9'6" WRV in the garage, but it has not seen the water since 1978.

Great action shot, Brian! You were on the ball to get this one!
Dave.

Excellent action shot with good detail. I have a small boat and the Noreaster you speak of caused me to pull my boat out for the winter.
