About Nicole is a friend of mine. Every time we'd meet there would be an obligatory exchange of "Nicole, we should shoot." "Yes, I'd like that." and then we go our own way.

I was itching to shoot and when I called her she happily accepted my offer. This was Nicole's first shoot, and I must say she did well.

Nice scene. I really like the composition and the pose of your model. Excellent catch.

Oh Paul... this is definetly my favorite in your collection. This deserves an award. Well done! Everything is perfect. (& I love that chair)!

I'm going to echo Shelby on this one...I really love the lighting, pose and feel to this piece of work! Beautiful in ever sense of the word.

Thanks, Rob. I had my giant softbox on a boom directly overhead, facing straight down.

One light. The chair helps tremendously because it gives her motivation to rest her head. The shadows on her face would be too much for my taste without her chin up so high, but leaning back in the chair, it looks perfectly natural. ;)

Why don't you live in NY??????????
;)

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 12/4/2008
Julie, if only you *knew* how deeply I am into photography. I breathe it. I dream it. I think about it all day long and into the evening.

I'm tickled that my images move you, Julie. I am a lucky dude, in that I am working at the coolest gig I've ever had in my life, and it pays well. Even THEN, I am planning my escape to do *THIS* all day, every day.

I've had co-workers look at me with a bewildered expression and ask me, "What are you still doing HERE?"

I just haven't snagged a revenue stream large enough to bail on the day job...yet.

Thanks, Julie. You made my week.

both of u did well, strong composition and good lighting.
since u are a pro in Fashion i was happy that u like my foto coz in studio i think i don't do well and i have problems with the hard yellow light, bye.

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 12/15/2008
Lights are yellow because you need to white balance for that temperature, Omar. You can always have your subject hold a white piece of paper and photograph them, then use that in Photoshop to neutralize the color balance.

Great light, comfortable looking chair and model.

I don't really like the way her left foot disappears though.
