About Trying to explain to my wife the effect of cross processing on Kodak EBX slide film, I took this image of Layla shot on Portra and altered it in Paintshop Pro to simulate a cross-processed EBX shot.

Love her expression. Effect is very cool. I do wish her eyes weren't so dark though and the shadows from her hair bother me too.

Good idea to do this in Paintshop. I have done cross-processing a few times with slides to negatives but they gave me a green effect (due to the brand Fuji?). Does Kodak give more blue?

This was a very blue image anyway and I've only tried proper cross-processing a couple of times. I heard Fuji (especially Velvia) tended to come out greenish so I went for Kodak EBX because it was recommended in a magazine. I don't think this is a perfect impression of the results with EBX but I also don't remember any specific colour cast. I'll have to try to find the real cross-processed stuff and post something for comparison.
