About Usefilm's inability to show immersive panoramas as they were meant to be viewed, able to pan around and zoom into the scene as if you were actually there, is very frustrating, especially as the equianglular projections used to show them on a flat screen produce very unsettling distortions. Here, I have used the so-called Panini projection, which was developed by Renaissance Italian painters to give natural looking perspective to panoramas so wide they were actually impossible to show in the normal "true" perspective. I think this is less unnerving and more like the scene as I saw it. What do you think? If this is a success I'll post a lot more panoramas in Panini projections.

Thank you. Luciano. I am still learning how to use this projection developed by your fellow countrymen hundreds of years ago!

Thank you, Saad. Did you click on the link to see the full-resolution version?
This picture covers about 180 degrees of the all-round view. I will post a small version of the entire panorama (conventional projection) for comparison. It's slightly different if you look at the details, as the picture is made from four photos stitched together, and I choose to show different things in the areas of overlap.

I like this type of panorama. It does help convey the feeling of being there. It is great how you keep experimenting with this kind of presentation.
