Thank you dear Harry, the name of Mosul is linked to Muslin,a type of fabric that was invented and manufactured in Mosul, when I was 5 to 7 years of age,I have seen the last manual wooden machine that designed to make this fabric, and the word and the name of Mussolini meaning the fabric maker is derived from the name muslin, too. my regards, Saad.

Very interesting story Saad.
The name Mussolini is known to me ( the italian friend of late mr A Hitler ). But I never could have guessed it means fabricmaker and originating from Mosul. Europe has inherited a large number of arab words ! Thank you for the interestigng story, very surprising. isme Harry
