I really like face piercings, but I don't think I'd ever get once, ...

Anne Knes   {K:60474} 3/1/2009
Excellent .

I think if you're going to have -A- piercing, that's a cute place for it. I'm just mystified at the people who become human pincushions. ;)

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 3/1/2009
Thank you, Anne.

Rob Graziano   {K:6660} 3/2/2009
Hi Paul! Really like this shot of her. Was looking at your site and she did look she has a lot of energy. There some other ones that I really liked as well. :) Great legs too btw. Is she an athlete? Ice Skater?

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 3/2/2009
Thank you. I was excited to give her this shot, because the clod she's shot with before was one of those 'skin-to-plastic' glamour goons.

She's got fantastic skin, so it was a pleasure to show her her *real* beauty.

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 3/2/2009
Yeah, Rob, she's an athlete for sure. I'll post some of those more playful shots for ya.

Keith  Growden   {K:27289} 3/2/2009

look at those eyes... incredible Paul, very nice capture of this great model.

James Cook   {K:37604} 3/3/2009
Would raising your iso help combat the excess of skin detail? (Damned digital...)

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 3/3/2009
Well, I could always apply some smoothing, but I really do prefer to be able to SEE all the pores in a model's skin - it's REAL.

Or, are you saying that you think it's over-sharpened?

James Cook   {K:37604} 3/3/2009
No, you got it right. Film didn't used to be so cruel to the skin. I was just speculating that raising the ISO might act like smoothing does only without that smoothing look.

Paul Lara   {K:86876} 3/3/2009
No, James, raising the ISO would not smooth, but merely introduce increasing levels of noise. I guess if you wanted, you could add some film grain to mask the finer details.

James Cook   {K:37604} 3/5/2009
PS can do that I suppose? You know my stuff: few humans and minimal post-production work. Maybe I'll do some test shots. Thanks for the information.
