great shot jason. good focus and composition. pretty good to get this close wwith a 200mm. only thing taht makes it imperfect is the branch sticking out from the bottom right

Nice closeup. I could nitpick about the slightly bright streaks above the beak and the bit of branch in lower right...but nice sharp focus and catchlight in the eye.

Wow very nice kookaburra capture, this is one of my favorite birds and you did her justice with this.

thanks Marcus, my work has left me busy and without internet facilities, there will be some new shots soon as i'll be home as of the weekend. Steve Irwins death hit a lot of people hard especially the kids.
