About Hotel in the ghost town of Ashcroft, Aspen, Colorado. This image was taken last year in September. We arrived a little early for fall color, a week later would have been spectacular. I love this place, and hope one day to return to this location.

Beautiful image, Michael. When would be the best time to see the fall colours? We hope to be in that area about October.:)

Ann,
I was there the second and third week in September, and I was about one week early of peak color. The best time to be here would be the last week in September, depending upon weather ofcourse. When the leaves are at thier peak, they do not last long.

Thank you for commenting, best of wishes... Mike

Thank you Michael, We might have to bring our travel plans forward. Last year we drove through there from Utah to Denver in early June and they were still getting snow from time to time, although most of the winter snow had already melted. Would love to see the Fall colours.:)
