This is not at all what I thought it was from the thumbnail (then again my eyes..) it's an interesting study of the three elements, the ugliness of the concrete and the beauty of the trees and the creativity of the graffiti. It all comes together very well with the resolution and tonal range you've given it.

Thanks Gary. Though concrete, the staircase is rather grand. It doesn't see much use even though it is in the centre of the city - there is a six lane highway at the top and the river behind my back.

PS. Exactly that - I like the contrast. How come? Many years ago a job took me to Warsaw and, well, you know how it goes, you meet a girl and... As for Tarifa, well, the windsurfing is no good in Warsaw.

Hi AJ....I'm back again, at least for a while.
An excellent monochromatic composition. I love the graffiti from Boris it does 'brighten' up the austerity of the concrete staircase. For me though, I just love those wonderful skeletel trees. Well done to you my good friend.

Many thanks for your comment. I am in Tarifa at present, but will be travelling for much of the rest of the year as I have new projects starting in Ukraine and Morocco.
I'm not posting on UF at present as I got fed up of the bad attitude of a few members and the absence of the admin. This was a hard decision as I have many friends on UF and in principal it should be a great site, but it got to a point where I no longer felt comfortable here. Maybe I'll come back at some point, but in the meantime I'm hanging out on RedBubble.

Happy to hear from you AJ, you are one of the nicest people here and I'm sorry to see you had been run-off. I know how annoying it is and what's worse is the Admin don't seem to care. I just started ignoring the antagonist and so far it seems everyone else is too and they've not rec'd many comments to their often "repeated" images - we know who we're talking about... this person is strange and desperately needs help, but I won't allow myself to get dragged under with them so I ignore them. There's peace here for now. :-) Anyways, I am glad to hear you are doing well and so glad you replied so quickly. Maybe I will check out redbubble. Thanks and hope to see you posting here from time to time... maybe 1 a week would be nice, AJ.
