Most of the time such images, as they are posted here, are simply not worth any comment, Aykaan, but your Kung Fu is best demonstrated by exactly this category of images. Images of deep emotion but without any intention to "impress", to "demonstrate", to turn photography to the personal album that each and everybody on this earth has to look. No, your attitude is silent, without exaggerations and without any trace of cheap exhibitionism, like that we encounter so often in UF.
There is exactness used for a quiet documentation of human feel here. The faces are perfectly exposed and their plasticity preserves their expression. *Their* expression, I may say, and not the fanfares of all that crowd of wannabes who press their own impressions on the protagonists of an image and then expect the world to see what they saw. And for this alone I have to take my hat off in front of you. Even the rich contrasts on the contours and folds of the cloths enhance the fidelity of the depiction of the faces.
The timing here is what puzzles me but alsoo impresses me most. The exposure balance is perfect, the composition is of high integrity, but the timing... One has to simply know when that decisive moment comes, when the protagonists wear no masks but are simply the iwn selves. How did you do that? Did you wait until the moment came?
Excellent, professional work!
Nick
P.S.: Concentrate on the right eye of the mother and you see a potential smile. Concentrate on the left and you see potential worries. Or was that the other way around? Now, if this ambivalance isn't a deeply human touch on an image, then I don't know what else could be. The absence of
