This automated lighthouse has also provided safe passage to thousands of inbound and outbound ships which ply the St Lawrence Seaway. Unfortunately, the changing colours of the trees on this island is a harbinger of bad news---summer is over and what is ahead is snow and howling winds and blizzards. But nevertheless, that too will end and in a few months we will once again be privileged to see Mother Nature renew herself in glorious colours.
