beautiful light and very well composed, it's a pity taht details on kids face are a bit poor, it seems you worked hard for recover some of them
anyway, like your way of working street pictures
my best...txules

Roberto Arcari Farinetti   {K:192044} 10/30/2009
great.. and intense
roby

K r i s h n e n d u   {K:6254} 10/30/2009
Thanks JD :)
Yah you are right I worked hard to recover the details on the kids faces...but retouching too much would decrease the picture quality...so I didnt do too much :) You know I am using a very simple prosumer camera which does not offer much options to me. even in ISO 200 the picture becomes very noisy :P
so when there are situations with uneven light conditions it becomes very difficult for me to handle the exposure. some parts remain underexposed...like the faces here :( and the sad part is i dont know good pp also to overcome my camera limitations :(

K r i s h n e n d u   {K:6254} 10/30/2009
Thanks a lot Roberto :)

Hi Kris: your camera has the option of shooting in RAW, just do it, shoot checking the histogram exposing a bit to the right (not too much, otherwise you blown out the highlights; then you can recover very easily many details in the sahdows; if you shoot in RAW even you can take your images in BW (as I do) beacuse colors are there but you can check in the camera's screen if picture is right, later on you can recover the colors in Adobe camera RAW or similar if you want; shoot at the minimal ISO you can handle the camera without shaking, I read the camera has an exceptional lens but it's very noise beyond 200 ISO; get a good noise reduction software as Noiseninja (very effective, just run the automatic option)
finally, get a DSLR when you can afford it :)
hope this can help you
my best....txules

Great work

K r i s h n e n d u   {K:6254} 10/31/2009
Hi doc : first of all a big thanks to you for being so supportive and helpful to me :) I am really grateful to you :)
Actually the problem in shooting in RAW mode in my camera is, it takes 10 sec to save a shot. So it takes 10 sec to take the other shot, which is very difficult to afford sometimes :) But inspite of that I used to shoot in RAW. But what i have noticed that the pictures are bit noisy when I see them in PC. Then I decided to come back in JPEG mode :(
Now the problem is I am not a very knowledgable person about all these technicalities of camera. I use my camera in my own way without knowing any rule :) So i am not sure whether this is the problem of my gear or its my inability :) Thats why I decided to shoot in JPEG mode. But now when you are suggesting, I would definitely do that :)
Thanks a lot my dear friend :)

K r i s h n e n d u   {K:6254} 10/31/2009

Glad that you liked it :)

txules  .   {K:49491} 10/31/2009
oops, I forgot compact cameras can take a lot of time for saving a RAW image, and it“s a big problem, you are right mainly if you are taking some streets
about noisy RAW, actually I ca not unsertand it, cause RAW files are almost unprocessed and cleab”ner than JPG, check same image in RAW and JPG mode and compare
anyway, the important thing is the person not the camera, I'm very proud of some images I took with my iphone (just 2 Megapixels and a lot of noise around :), you aaer very talented so keep going
tale care....txules

K r i s h n e n d u   {K:6254} 10/31/2009
Yah you are absolutely right. The more important is the person behind the camera not the camera :) And thats why I have no complain with my camera :) I am just learning the compositional skills, framing etc. And I must say some of you people are so helpful that I would remail ever grateful to you...Thanks a lot :)
I hope...I will be able to buy a good camera with some good suitable lenses very soon :)
