Using a low ISO setting helps prevent noise. If you want to remove noise from a specific area of the photo, it is possible to filter the photo with neat image or another programme,All the very best,riny

Yes, Riny, low ISO setting helps in preventing noise. But at the same time you have to increase exposure. When you will do it by increasing aperture, you will get shallow depth of field. Sometimes it is not desirable at all. Again, if you want to decrease the shutter speed for exposure compensation, due to poor light condition held held photography is not at all possible. So tripod is required there. In such a situation, for candid photography at least, you have to compromise with noise.
