Another very very good image of the bird, Dave, and in the meanwhile I really winder how guys like you or Andre can do that! Whenever I try a shot of some animal it turns out to be a complete wste of time and film.

The details on the head are incredibly well captured. The feather on the rest of the bird seem to be a bit softer in details than the head, but this also contributes to a certain anhancement of the face, "the character" of it.

The exposure balance was exactly right again. The bird is not just plane but it possesses a 3D shape on the image - the typical aerodynamic drop form.

The nice and clear composition and separation from the background with very good control of DoF finish it up in a great way.

Excellent capture, very interesting, needs slight cw rotation, a bit more contrast and slight levels adjustments. Bokeh is stunning.
